Two Weeks+ in Cape May (Days 41- 57)
Cape May, New Jersey is a pretty fantastic place to wait for a new generator. The photo above is the Lobster House which was right next door to the marina (Utches) where we spent our first week. This is a great destination for fishermen and seafood lovers alike. First we explored the waterways around Cape May in our Tender. There were a lot of different things to see. We especially liked this unusual home and the BIG fishing vessels. Our first weekend here was Memorial Day Weekend. We attended a unique Memorial Day remembrance ceremony. After the traditional ceremony at the downtown flag pole we all went down to the beach. With assistance from the local lifeguards, looking very “Baywatch”; The US Coast Guard launched a flower boat of remembrance complete with a three volley (rifle) salute and Taps.
